Sometimes in my life I find myself wanting to pinch myself because things are great, and last Wednesday night was exactly one of these moments. I headed to London with Lisa (who I discovered lives really close to me!) and went to taste 12 different Easter Eggs with Quidco, the UK Money Bloggers (including Lotty from Lotty Earns, Anita from Mrs Bargain Hunter, Andy from Be Clever With Your Cash, Lynn from Mrs Mummy Penny, Lisa from Unicorn Daydreams, Leanne from Broke in the Big Smoke and Sara from Debt Camel) and journalists from The Telegraph and The Mirror. Definitely a “pinch me” moment.

The event was put on by Quidco in a bid to find the UK's best value for money Easter Egg. It was simple – we would have to blind taste test 12 different Easter Eggs and rate them on taste alone. Then it was revealed which Easter Egg was which, including how much they cost. We then rated them on how much value for money they offered to come up with our winner. It was a tough job but someone had to do it!

The results

I am really pleased to see that one of my favourite Easter Eggs was crowned the best value for money. The Mars Bar Easter Egg is just £3 at Sainsbury's and comes with two Mars Bars – I don't like Mars Bars so I was surprised that it was my favourite egg! The most expensive egg, the Heston by Waitrose Golden Egg was the only chocolate that I couldn't eat because I didn't like it. Thus proving that I am cheap to please! Here are the Easter Eggs ranked in order of value for money compared to the taste.
