I am a huge fan of make up boxes and when I had the chance to try out the Sheer Cover Studio set. Despite my many thrifty ways, I am a huge fan of high end make up and I love the chance to try something new. The Sheer Cover Studio set didn't disappoint.

Sheer Cover Conceal and Brighten trio

Conceal & Brighten Trio

The conceal and brighten trio immediately caught my attention. In my set (in light) there are a light and a medium concealer that can either be used on their own or mixed to find your perfect shade using the free concealer brush or even your finger. Other sets will have different shades available. I used this under my eyes and on any blemishes that I wanted to cover. By using the brush to blend in the concealer in particularly bad areas of redness it really helped to conceal those areas. Even better, you can use the concealer under or over the foundation.

The Brightener applied under the brow bones really helps to lighten them, as well as in the inner and outer corner of the eyes.

Sheer Cover mineral foundation

I was dubious about trying mineral foundation as I suffer from dry skin and I was worried that the foundation would look caked on. Using the foundation brush supplied along with the concealer made the foundation blend really well – there were no powdery bits on my problem areas (around my nose and my forehead). I also struggle with pores on my nose – most foundations seem to sink into the pores and look awful, even with most primers. Using this by itself (no primer) it didn't sink into my pores. The coverage was great too, hiding blemishes without feeling too heavy on my skin. This gets a thumbs up from me.

Sheer Cover Bronzing minerals

Sun-kissed bronzing minerals

To apply this I just used the foundation brush provided, although you can use your own blush brush. These bronzing minerals are so versatile – there are three shades to choose from and they can either be used together or individually. The lightest shade is great just under the brow to blend into eye shadow. All three shades look great on my cheeks too.

Sheer Cover pallete

Sophisticate Palette

This is by far my favourite piece in the kit – and it is a freebie! This palette comes with a blush, three eye shadows and two lip glosses, along with a brush, applicator, buff and mirror. It is perfect for your handbag or make up bag and I can see this coming on holidays with me, especially when I'm looking to pack light. Three of the eye shadows are in neutral brown shades and there's a darker black shade too. I used the concealer from earlier on my eyelids to prime the eye shadow and this made it pop more and last longer. The lip glosses were in neutral brown shades where I would have loved to see something pink, but the lighter shade suits me and gives my lips a natural colour.

Sheer Cover mascara Sheer Cover Lash Extending Fibres

Lash extending fibers & lengthening mascara

Before reading the helpful instructions that come with this kit, I would have put the lash extending fibers on before the mascara! Instead, apply 1 – 2 coats of the mascara, then a layer of the lash extending fibres before finishing off with another coat of mascara. It is best to do this as quickly as possible so that the mascara doesn't dry before the fibres are put on – so doing one eye at a time is advised. THIS COMBINATION IS AMAZING. I cannot get over how long my lashes are by using these – I don't even need to curl my lashes to have the longest lashes I have ever had.

Money back guarantee

This kit is fantastic value for money, costing just £19.99 plus free gifts worth over £70. However, if you aren't satisfied within 60 days then you are covered by a 60-day money back guarantee. What's not to love?

VIP membership

When you order your kit you are agreeing to receive the same items (excluding the free products) every 90 days at the Deluxe VIP Kit price. This is fantastic value as the products are so great. By having a delivery every 90 days means you don't have to worry about ordering your favourites when you are running low. You can cancel any time on a free phone number, but once you have tried out the set for yourself I doubt you'd want to cancel.

All in all, I love this Sheer Cover set so much. I am surprised at just how good the make up is! It delivers on everything it promises. I would not hesitate to recommend this box to anyone – fantastic products at a fantastic price.

I was sent this kit free of charge in exchange for a review.
