You love it, I love it…that's right, it is time for 10 weird things that sold on eBay in April 2016, and this month's finds do not disappoint. Let's get stuck in.

Whether you are looking for inspiration for your own eBay selling, or you just like to scratch your head wondering who would think to list, never mind buy, these items then this post is for you. If you have enjoyed it then please don't forget to share it with your friends.

gross mens socks

These gross, used men's socked fetched £15…and to think that I have just been throwing out Tony's old worn socks.

Women's used socks sell well too, this pair sold for £8!

damaged text book

Selling used text books on eBay is nothing new, and this damaged text book fetched £16.80 with postage, but what makes this weird is that you can buy a brand new copy on Amazon for £18. It just goes to show that lots of people are looking to save a few pounds here and there.

If you have been reading my blog for awhile then you will know what I think about selling your smelly shoes on eBay. This pair of manky, worn out shoes fetched £28 including postage.

I have seen brand named broken pens fetching big money on eBay, however I was surprised to see this old green, broken ballpoint pen sell for £12 plus £2.80 postage. Anything does sell on eBay!

ugly bridesmaid dress

This ugly bridesmaid dress fetched £22.78, marketed as something great for hen dos.

Used car tax discs are still selling on eBay – this lot sold for £4.78.

dolla holla

It always baffles me when I see foreign currency for sale on eBay, because if often sells for more than it is worth! For example, these $35 sold for £24.99, whereas their market rate is actually around £23. If you have any left over currency from your holidays then it might be worth trying to list it on eBay first (make sure to factor in eBay fees, Paypal fees and postage).

Go and check your purse or wallet now to see if you have any unusual 50p coins – these two sold for £5 with postage!

empty yankee candle

No idea what to do with your empty Yankee candle jars? Get them on eBay! These empty jars sold for £5.50 plus £2.95 postage – almost enough to buy your next Yankee candle!

If this post has inspired you to get your weird and wonderful items listed on eBay, you get 20 free listings a month. If you try to sell something weird or unusual then let me know how it goes. 1. Ooo I was going to do a post like this! People buy the strangest things – I’m very surprised about the socks but maybe that’s someone that likes feet? Eek! I’ve heard about old tax discs selling – what do people want with them I wonder? x

  2. I just don’t get it *shakes head in disbelief*. I’ve had loads of stuff go unsold on Ebay. How does this sell for so much???
